The MPS Communications Department earned an Upper Case Award of Merit for the new district logo and MPS Brand Guidelines.

Moore Public Schools' Communications Department earned an Upper Case Award of Merit in the Rebranding category for its new district logo and MPS Brand Guidelines.

The Upper Case Awards are a part of the communications and publications awards program through the Public Relations Society of America's Oklahoma City Chapter. This year's awards were judged by the San Diego PRSA chapter. Each year, PRSA-Oklahoma City recognizes the best of the best through the Upper Case Awards. With more than 30 categories covering an array of public relations, and communications functions.

MPS's district logo and brand guidelines were created after using the same mark for 22 years. MPS internal and external stakeholders provided data through surveys that were analyzed and used to generate the new logo, which was publically launched on July 24, 2023. MPS Communications & Community Relations Director Anna Aguilar worked with local long-time graphic artist and designer Jason Graham to develop the new logo and deliverables for the district.

"I'm so proud of the work we did with the guidance of Superintendent Romines. The MPS community has an extensive history and there is great pride in our schools individually and collectively. It was so important for me to have the right designer on this project to convey 'our story.' Jason hit the target perfectly," said Aguilar.

She also noted that PRSA chapter members are typically in the business sector and not from inside the education industry, making an Upper Case Award even more rewarding.
