Welcome

Red Oak Elementary School has been welcoming children and their families for over 40 years. Located in south Oklahoma City, Red Oak is a part of the Moore Public School District.  Our school offers students an opportunity to excel in an environment that encourages high academic standards, personal responsibility and community involvement. Red Oak has approximately 450 students, 30 certified employees, and 15 support employees. Many families have chosen our school because of its moderate size, strong parent support and involvement, and the high quality education provided to our students by a highly qualified staff.

Opened in 1980, the school year actually started at Kingsgate Elementary because the building was not completed until October. Upon opening, the school began with just 3 buildings and the cafeteria.  Red Oak started with no kitchen facilities and had to have food brought in daily. In 2003 the Fine Arts building was built with money from M.A.P.S. for kids. A new gymnasium and storm shelter was added in 2019. In 2025 renovations included a new Pre Kindergarten classroom and security fencing around the building.
